The recently concluded Academy Awards were, to say the very least, quite interesting. Besides the fact that it had the lowest viewership for a televised Academy Awards since 1966, the four big acting awards shed some light on the state of the talent of the great actors in Hollywood.

Best actor in a leading role – Daniel Day-Lewis (There Will Be Blood)
Best actress in a leading role – Marion Cotillard (La Vie En Rose)
Best actor in a supporting role – Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men)
Best actress in a supporting role – Tilda Swinton (Michael Clayton)

Hollywood’s best actor in a leading role is British.
Hollywood’s best actress in a leading role is French.
Hollywood’s best actor in a supporting role is Spanish.
Hollywood’s best actress in a supporting role is British.

 

America’s got talent.
